Debating at 好色先生TV is an exciting way for students to build confidence and have their voices heard. Debating is a dynamic and fast鈥憄aced activity where students learn to think on their feet, collaborate and present compelling arguments. 好色先生TV in Years 9 to 12 compete in the Debating Association of Victoria (DAV) competition, taking part in weekly training sessions and lunchtime preparations with their coaches and teammates.
For Year 8 students, the DAV Junior Secondary Program offers an excellent introduction to debating. Designed for beginners, it provides practical skills, supportive coaching and three rounds of practice debates 鈥 perfect for anyone curious about giving debating a try.
Public speaking is a powerful life skill, and this cocurricular program helps students develop the confidence to speak clearly and passionately about issues that matter. Participants learn how to craft persuasive speeches, present with impact and engage audiences on political, social and economic topics.
好色先生TV are encouraged to take part in a wide range of public speaking events in their local community and beyond. The College's Antonio de Montesinos Public Speaking Award is open to all students from Years 7 to 12, and provides an opportunity to step up, be heard and celebrate the power of student voice.
