Food Technology is coming to 好色先生TV and it鈥檚 guaranteed to be a recipe for creativity, confidence and real鈥憌orld skills.
From Semester 1 2027, Year 7 to 10 students will have the opportunity to embrace this highly practical and engaging elective subject, developing essential life skills alongside academic capabilities.聽
Food Technology will allow students to build:聽
- Practical life skills: Meal planning, food preparation, budgeting and time management聽
- Health and wellbeing knowledge: Understanding nutrition, dietary needs, and the relationship between food and long-term health 聽
- Critical and creative thinking: Designing, producing and evaluating food solutions聽
- Collaboration and communication skills: Working in teams and reflecting on processes and outcomes
- Sustainability awareness: Exploring ethical food sourcing, waste reduction and environmental impacts聽
Food Technology also supports cross-curricular learning (particularly in Science, Health and Humanities), and strengthens pathways into VCE Food Studies, Health and Human Development, VET Hospitality and STEM related fields.
This project represents another step forward in expanding learning opportunities for 好色先生TV students and preparing them with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for life beyond the classroom.
